Speech & Language Therapists work in the following areas:

Babies with:

  1. feeding and swallowing difficulties

Children with:

  1. mild, moderate or severe learning difficulties
  2. physical disabilities
  3. language delay
  4. specific language impairment
  5. specific difficulties in producing sounds
  6. hearing impairment
  7. cleft palate
  8. stammering
  9. autism/social interaction difficulties
  10. dyslexia

Adults with:

  1. eating and swallowing and/or communication problems following stroke
  2. neurological impairments and degenerative conditions including: head injury, Parkinson's disease, motor -neuron disease and dementia
  3. cancer of the head, neck and throat (including laryngectomy)
  4. voice problems
  5. mental health issues
  6. learning difficulties
  7. physical disabilities
  8. stammering (dysfluency)
  9. hearing impairment

Requirements:

  1. RCSLT approved
  2. HPC registration/UK state registration
  3. CV / Resume
  4. 2 professional references (one from your last employer)
  5. Degree/Diploma in Speech Pathology/Audiology
  6. Relevant working visa (non-EC applicants)
  7. Police clearance certificate
